How It All Began
It started with a simple observation while watching my cockatiel, Sunny. She seemed uncomfortable on her standard dowel perches, constantly shifting her feet and avoiding certain spots in her cage.
After researching, I discovered that birds in the wild perch on branches of varying diameters, textures, and shapes. This variety exercises their feet and prevents the pressure sores that can come from uniform, smooth perches.
I began sourcing natural wood perches for Sunny, and the transformation was remarkable. She became more active, more comfortable, and clearly happier. That's when I knew I had to share this with other bird owners.
